Lloyds hotel is situated @ 16-23 George and was built in the early 1880’s and was originally named the Globe Hotel right through to the mid 1950’s when Lloyd Pallister changed it to Lloyds Hotel.. As the years progressed it went from a usual workingmans pub to what it is today.
